Sue Sheehan
Born in Illinois, USA, she studied in Boston and London before settling in Europe in 1986. Building bridges with music and art have become her passion and goal. Sue is involved in various projects, to encourage cultural encounter in rural areas, such as: a refugee band, organizing world music concerts, art exhibitions with her photography and writing her songs for her band and solo debuts. At home in various musical styles, since 1995 she’s been center stage in multifarious bands. In 2017, she gained a Masters degree at the Center for World Music at the University of Hildesheim. Sue’s a charming and entertaining performer with a warm welcome into her world for the audience during the concert and beyond; an evening with the Sue Sheehan lingers long in happy memory. Sue writes the songs, sings lead vocals, and plays bouzouki-guitar, bodhrán and trumpet.
„To live content with small means, to seek elegance rather than luxury, refinement rather than fashion, wealthy but not rich…to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, to listen with an open heart, await occasions, and never hurry…
